A MARKET STALL "MARCHAND DES DRAPS" FROM THE "VENETIAN FAIR” SERIES

Ludwigsburg, c. 1768-70. After designs by G. F. P. Riedel.
The interior painted with polychrome fabric bales, various fabric samples laid on the green-painted counter. The frame crowned by a cartouche with gold decoration and inscribed “Marchand des Draps”. Underglaze blue electoral hat with CC monogram.
