BRACKET CLOCK,Austria, Regence, circa 1720. The movement signed FRANZ JACOB NIDERMAYR SALZBURG (Franz Jacob Niedermayr 1708 - 1730 witnessed in Salzburg). Walnut, richly inlaid with partly engraved brass and pewter. Pewter chapter ring behind glazed door. Above the chapter ring, two additional rings for striker setting and seconds (not functional), with date window in between. The movement with beautifully engraved movement plate, anchor escapement and striking on bell. H 52 cm. The movement incomplete, parts removed.
