Visitors to the preview of Koller‘s jewelry auction this March are advised to wear their sunglasses: the quantity of diamonds and gold on display will provide a dazzling spectacle. Among the over 300 lots to be offered are a highly elegant diamond ring, boasting an oval diamond of over 6 carats (lot 2078), and another brilliant-cut diamond ring signed Gübelin (lot 2180), of which the sale proceeds will be donated to a charity foundation. Also sold to benefit the same foundation, a Patek Philippe “Twenty-4” white gold watch (lot 2269) is paved with no less than 445 diamonds. The diamond jewelry in this sale is in some cases accompanied by other impressive gemstones, such as an emerald and diamond ring by E. Loosli from circa 1950 (lot 2095) sporting a Colombian emerald of circa 10 carats and 20 baguette-cut diamonds, and a tanzanite heart-shaped pendant with 147 brilliant-cut diamonds (lot 2090), perfect for that belated Valentine‘s Day present.
