BERNESE "STUBEZYT" WITH ALARM, IN A GRANDFATHER-CLOCK CASE
Berne ca. 1820. The movement inscribed: CH 1821 Nr. 47, the movement inscribed: Ulrich Aegeter und Anna Schär 1821.
Rectangular, wooden case, painted with golden tendrils and blossoms. Wooden dial, featuring the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals. Movement with iron plates, verge escapement, striking the 3/4-hour on two bells. Alarm on bell. Counter-weights, missing. The rectangular grandfather-clock case, painted with flowers on a red ground "en faux marbre".
