SAVONNERIE, 19th century.
Dark central field with a central medallion, the corners featuring 4 eagles with a snake and 2 coat-of-arms cartouches. Coat-of-arms of the Colbert and Rochefoucauld families. The entire carpet is patterned with trailing flowers and garlands in delicate pastel colors. Narrow border in green and red. Restored in some areas, slight wear and minor moth damage, otherwise in good condition.
