LATE GOTHIC IRON CLOCK
Germany or Italy, 16th/17th century.
Open work with stacked movement and striking mechanism. Pierced belfry, decorated with blossoms. Dial, painted with a depiction of St. Catherine, the sun and the moon. Verge movement with wheel balance, striking mechanism with lock disc, striking the hour on bell.
