BURGONET HELMET
Italian, "Borgognotta aguzza", last third of the 16th century. Brescia(?).
Blank iron. One-part skull, ending in a tip and with a central peak. Eye shield, neck shield and the cheekpieces with chased edges. Skull base with riveted brass rosettes, the cheekpieces each with five punctiform perforations. Eye guard and neck guard and cheekpieces with ribbed edges.
H 27.8 cm. C: 2.
