Das angebotene Gemälde greift eine Vorlage von Peter-Paul Rubens (1577–1640) auf, die sich im Kunsthaus Zürich befindet (Inv.-Nr. R55). Das Gemälde wird im zweiten Band des Corpus Rubenianum, IV. (Madonnas and The Holy Family) aufgeführt, der in Bearbeitung ist.
Conditionreport:
Oil on panel, cradled. With two retouched fine, horizontal, continuous hairline cracks in the upper and lower third, as well as three further fine retouched hairline cracks in the lower area. The paint surface in good condition, with a fine network of craquelure. A small colour loss lower centre. With minimal colour abrasions along the edges. <br>Under UV light: a small amount of minor retouching on the figures as well as on the join. <br>Dimensions with frame: 66.8 × 81.7 cm.
