ALBARELLO, Tuscany, Montelupo, early 16th century. Painted in cobalt blue, heightened in copper green and orange red. H. 22.5cm With minor chips to the edge. Provenance: private collection, South Germany.
Provenienz: Privatsammlung, Süddeutschland. Zum Dekor an einem fast identischen Modell in Pierre-Alain Mariaux, La Majolique, La Faïence Italienne et son Décor dans les collections Suisses, Musée historique de Lausanne, 1995, S. 66 und S. 166. Ein nahezu identischer Dekor in der Manufaktur Cafaggiolo, vgl. ein Modell im Victoria & Albert Museum, Bernard Rackham, Catalogue of Italian Maiolica, 1940, Volume I, S.116, Nr. 333 und Abbildung in Volume II, Tafel 55, Abb. 333.
