BOULLE PENDULE ON PLINTH

Régence, Paris ca. 1720/30. The dial and movement, signed A Furet à Paris (André Furet, mentioned in Paris 1691 up until ca. 1740).
Case, decorated with brown-dyed tortoiseshell, inlaid with tendrils and foliage in engraved brass. Opulent gilt bronze mounts, designed as acanthus leaves, dragons and espagnolettes. The top, decorated with a boy and a parrot. Douze-pièce dial with white enamel cartouches. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. 1 key. Pendulum, repaired.
45 × 23 × 105 cm.
