A WHEELLOCK PISTOL,
Italian or Austrian (Ferlach?) c. 1650.
Walnut stock with iron wire inlays in the form of birds and tendrils, the stock decoration in the style of the Ferlach master Hans Schmidt. Octagonal barrel with etched decoration (barrel length 37.4 cm, calibre 14.5 mm). Lock with external wheel, lock mark "MM" Brescia. Openwork trigger guard. The stock with cracks, lock chain heavily damaged.
