EARLY TEA CADDY WITH AUGSBURG "HAUSMALER" DECORATION

Meissen, ca. 1720-25, the paintwork ca. 1730-40 by Abraham Seuter.
Hexagonal shape with three portraits featuring a woman. Painted in "schwarzlot", the skin accentuated in iron red; opulent gold decoration. No mark.
H 10.2 cm.

SALE ROOM NOTICE: tiny foot rim chip, the cover possibly a later addition.

Gilding, rubbed.
