TEA BOWL AND SAUCER WITH CHINOISERIE DECORATION

Meissen, ca. 1722-24.
With various chinoiserie scenes. No mark, saucer with potter's mark for Küttel.
H 4.5 cm, D 12.3 cm.

The tea bowl belongs to the same service as a coffee pot, sugar bowl and tea pot, on which R. Seyffarth discovered a "Höroldt" signature in 1981 (Richard Seyffarth, Johann Gregorius Höroldt, 1981, Figs. 2-12). Four additional tea bowls were recently on offer at Bonham's London (European Private Collection III, 22.7.2020, Lot No. 37).
