Égypte. With engraved frontispiece, 41 full-page heliogravures, over 300 text vignettes based on photographs by F. Boissonnas and numerous text illustrations in woodcuts by Henry-Paul Boissonnas and 1 engraved map.
Geneva, P. Trembley, 1932. 51.5 × 41.5 cm. 190 pages, [3] leaves. Illustrated original parchment binding with spine and cover titles (sign. Hans Asper Genf). - - One of 300 numbered copies on Van Gelder (total circulation 338). ". Signed by the author and photographer in the imprint.

Only edition. - Uncut copy - The monumental and luxurious book project launched by the Geneva engineer Paul Trembley and with the financial support of King Fouad I flopped, as did the publication on Sinai 1930 ("Le Miracle du lac des Joncs"), for which Boissonnas could no longer find a publisher.

Slightly rubbed on the outside, scratched or scraped, lightly bumped, flyleaf with slight tearing in lower section due to water damage, continuing onto the next sheet, browned, only occasional slight spotting. Otherwise in good condition.
