LONG-CASE CLOCK WITH SECOND AND DATE

George II, England, 18th century. The dial, signed Peter Walker London (Peter Walker, Holland, worked in London 1681-1730).

Burlwood and walnut, in part dyed and inlaid with flower bouquets and birds in geometric reserves. Brass frontispiece with silvered chapter ring. Small dial for the second, and date-window. Movement with anchor escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell.
