The work is registered in the archives of the Fondation Le Corbusier.
Provenance:
- Galerie Heidi Weber, Zurich.
- Swiss private collection, acquired from the above gallery circa 1964 and by descent to the present owners.
In addition to this and a second drawing, there is also an oil painting of the same subject, "La charrette à bois et les baigneuses", which Le Corbusier painted a few years earlier in 1935.
