A CLASSICAL BRONZE WINE VESSEL 'ZUN'.

Late Shang/ early Zhou dynasty, height 28 cm.
The middle part decorated with two vigorous taotie masks flanked by a pair of dragons. Inside at bottom incised inscription. Some restorations.

Provenance:
- Collection of Ms. Christian Holmes (1871–1941). Parke Bernet Galleries New York, 13/14 november 1963, lot 265. Sotheby's London, 14 november 1972, lot 228. Thence in the same Geneva collection.
