CONSOLE-DESSERTE WITH VITRINE UPPER SECTION
Louis XVI style, France, late 19th century.
Fluted mahogany. Rectangular body with rounded sides on a straight frame with fluted conical feet with sabots, connected by an intermediate shelf. Vitrine cabinet upper section with three glazed doors, the outer ones rounded, above a central drawer. The inside of the back lined with blue velvet, covering the shelf support. Purple marble cover in an openwork brass gallery. Console lower section with three drawers, the outer ones rounded and hinged. Gilt bronzes designed as rosettes, draperies, laurel garlands, braided bands and decorative friezes. 3 keys. With later lighting.
100 × 36 × 162.5 cm.
Bronzes partly tarnished and some bronzes are loose. One door jammed. Cracks in the marble. Fitting for electricity needs to be checked.
