SCHENAU, JOHANN ELEAZAR (Gross-Schönau 1737 - 1806 Dresden).L'Horoscope chez Cagliostro. Pen in grey over pencil preparatory drawing, with grey wash and partial watercolouring. 38 x 31 cm. Old inscription verso in pencil: J.E.Schenau, entitled and inscribed.: tres beau cartouche Louis XVI.. From the collection of Louis Galichon (Lugt 1060, verso). Gold frame. - Scattered minor foxing. With smoothed crease on right margin. Mounted verso on upper margin in passepartout. Overall good condition.

Verso mit Bleistift alt bezeichnet: J.E.Schenau, betit. u. bez.: tres beau cartouche Louis XVI.. Aus der Sammlung Louis Galichon (Lugt 1060, verso). Echtgoldrahmen. - Vereinzelt gering stockfleckig. Am rechten Rand geglättete Knickfalte. Verso am oberen Rand in das Passepartout montiert. Insgesamt guter Erhaltungszustand.
