IMPORTANT PAINTED CLOCK WITH PLINTH,Transition, the dial and movement signed JOFFROY A BESANCON (active circa 1760), Besançon circa 1760/70. The case in wood, painted on all sides with bright birds, flowers and leaves on a golden yellow ground. The clock with enamel dial, a fine verge escapement striking the 4 quarters on 2 bells. With fine gilt bronze mounts and applications. 54x20x150 cm. Provenance: West Swiss noble collection
