Provenienz: Privatsammlung, Lugano. Gutachten: Prof. Alfredo Bellandi, August 2004. Das hier angebotene Relief ist abgebildet in: A. Bellandi, Gregorio di Lorenzo . Il maestro delle Madonne di Marmo, o.O. 2010; S. 120 (Abb. III). A. Bellandi ordnet die Arbeit der Werkstatt von Gregorio di Lorenzo zu. Das Relief ist verwandt mit Arbeiten in Marmor, die im 19. Jh. von Wilhelm von Bode dem "Meister der Marmormadonnen" zugeordnet wurden. Entsprechende Arbeiten in Marmor finden sich im Victoria & Albert Museum sowie im Bargello in Florenz. Eine Terracotta-Version dieses Reliefs wurde im Serristori Katalog von Sotheby's im Mai 1977 Antonio Rossellino zugeschrieben. Lit.: J.
