PAIR OF LIDDED TUREENS, London, 1829/30. Maker's mark John Bridge.

Oval tureens on a retracted foot. Tureens and covers decorated with gadrooned band. The cover with a sculpted branch finial and oak leaves. Both tureens bear an engraved coat–of–arms and crest, and dedication:
PRESENTED to the Honorable Mountstuart Elphinstone, BY THE BRITISH INHABITANTS OF BOMBAY on his retirement of the Government OF THAT PRESIDENCY 1st. November 1827.
