DUCAL BUREAU-CABINET,

Baroque, Spain ca. 1720/50.
Shaped walnut. Hinged writing surface above 3 drawers, the top drawer divided into two. Fitted interior of drawers and compartments with 2 secret compartments. The upper section interior also fitted with drawers and compartments as well as 2 secret drawers. Bronze mounts, some gilt and some replaced. Restoration required.

Provenance:
- formerly in the collection of the Belgian Embassy in Switzerland.
- from a Swiss private collection.

Featuring a plate showing the coat of arms of Don Ramón María Narvàez y Campos, 1st Duke of Valencia, Grandee of Spain, Viscount of Aliatar, Count of Cañada Alta (born 1800 Loja, Granada - died 1868 in Madrid).
