PAIR OF MARBLE RELIEFS "AUX ANGELOTS MUSICIENS",Renaissance/Baroque, Italy, probably 17th century. White marble and wood painted "en faux marbre". Built into console frames with protruding tops. 147.5x48.5x81.5 cm. Provenance: - Sotheby's London auction on 4.7.1985 (Lot No. 52). - Lily & Edmond Safra collection, Monte Carlo. - Sotheby's New York auction on 4.11.2005 (Lot No. 657). - Private collection, USA. Fine reliefs which probably originate from a cantoria.

Renaissance/Barock, Italien, wohl 17. Jh.
Weisser Marmor und Holz "en faux marbre" gefasst. Gebauchtes Relief mit feiner Darstellung musizierender Putten. Eingebaut in Konsolenrahmen mit vorstehendem Blatt auf Rechtecksockel. 147,5x48,5x81,5 cm.
