Provenienz: Schweizer Privatbesitz. Michel Rodrigue bestätigt die Eigenhändigkeit anhand einer Fotografie, wofür wir ihm danken. Er vermutet, dass es sich bei diesem Gemälde um dasjenige am 1.5.1866 im Palais des Champs Elysées mit dem Titel "Le Berger" und unter der Nr. 352 ausgestellte Werk handelt.
