LARGE SIDEBOARD,
so-called "credenza a canterano", Early Baroque, probably Veneto, 17th century.
Walnut, burlwood and various fruitwoods, molded and finely inlaid with geometric patterns, reserves and decorative frieze. Front with 4 large drawers, the upper drawer with hinged front, the sides each with a door covering 3 drawers. Fitted interior with 10 drawers arranged in 2 rows, and 2 drawers on each side. Fine bronze mounts and drop handles. Requires some restoration.
