ENAMEL MINIATURE, DIAMOND AND GOLD BOX, Switzerland or Hanau, ca. 1840. Yellow gold, 178g. Oval, engine-turned box, enamelled cobalt-blue all around. Black-white enamelled border with corded gold wire applications. Four lateral reserves "en trois couleurs", decorated with important bowl, flowers and fleur-de-lis. On the cover, an oval medallion with a fine, polychrome enamelled scene depicting a mother and child. Poinçons de prestige. Ca. 8.8 x 6.3 x 3.6 cm.
