PARASOL IN ORIGINAL CASE,

probably second half of the 19th century and probably from the estate of the Tsarina Maria Feodorovna (Princess Dagmar of Denmark, 1847–1928).
Lace, silk and ivory, the mounts plated with pink gold, and with numerous rose–cut diamonds of different sizes. In excellent condition and of excellent quality. Off–white lace and silk cover. The stick and the tip of ivory in a palmette–shaped mount. The case lined with silk and decorated with an embossed gold rim. L of the parasol ca. 95.5 cm.

Provenance:
– probably owned by the Tsarina Maria Feodorovna (Princess Dagmar of Denmark).
– probably from 1923 onwards in the collection of a Swedish noble family.
– from the end of the 1980s: in a private collection, Northern Germany
