Fein bemaltes Porzellan und vergoldete Bronze und Messing. Zylindrischer, leicht ausladender Gefässkörper, verziert mit Blumenranken, auf gekehltem, kanneliertem bzw. durchbrochenem Sockel mit Volutenfüssen. Die Wandung mit diversen Jagdszenen und 4 Schlössern, u. a. Château de Chambord. Messingbecken. Brandschaden. H 40 cm. D 28 cm.

Es ist davon auszugehen, dass die vorzufindende Signatur und das Datum anlässlich der Montierung angebracht wurden. J.C. Develly war einer der bedeutendsten Porzellanmler von Sèvres. A. Brogniart, Direktor des Unernehmens, erkannte schnell dessen grosses Talent und behielt ihn auch in wirtschaftlich schweren Zeiten. Er schuf im Jahre 1820 den berühmten "Service des Arts Industriels", er von König Louis Philippe dem Prinzen Metternich offeriert wurde. Teile dieses Service wurden bei Sotheby's London am 14.6.1994 (Lot 117 bis 131) verkauft.
