EARLY BEAKER WITH A HARBOUR SCENE,

Meissen, ca. 1725–1730.
Conical beaker with a gadrooned gilt foot. Painted in the style of C.F. Herold with an exceptionally fine harbour landscape depicting merchants peddling their merchandise. Underglaze blue sword marks. H 8.2 cm. Shallow chip on the edge of the foot. Gilding, slightly rubbed.
