MANTEL CLOCK WITH PORCELAIN FIGURES,

Louis XV, the dial and movement signed CHARLES BALTAZAR A PARIS (Henri Charles Balthazar, maître 1717 ), the group of porcelain figures in the style of Meissen, after models by P. REINICKE (Gdansk 1711 Meissen 1768), ca. 1745, the flowers in the style of the Manufacture de Vincennes, 18th/19th century, the bronze from Paris, 18th/19th century.
Gilt bronze and finely painted porcelain. The center featuring a Chinese couple reading in front of branches bearing the clock case with a Chinese figure seated on top. Enamel dial. Movement with verge escapement and short pendulum. Umbrella supplemented. Small crack in the group of figures. Minor losses.
22x14x47 cm.
