Book of hours. Latin manuscript on parchement. With 2 full size miniatures, gilt and colored and 5 initials on 4-5 lines in Gold, red and blue.
France, around 1440-1450. 12 x 9 cm. [159] leaves. 14 lines in black textura. Lettering space 6 x 4,5 cm. Restored leather over wood covers by using the old cover binding. The 2 closures restored (front cover a little worming).
Probably made in France for an english noble man (among the mentioned saints are Edward and Edmund). - Some old additions and/ or bound-in prayers. - A little browned and fingerspots on the upper edge, also damp stained. There are no obvious lacking pages.
