BUREAU-PLAT,

Louis XV style, signed and dated HENRI DASSON 1888 (Henri Dasson, 1825 Paris 1896), after models by BVRB (Bernard Van Risenburgh, maître 1735) Paris.
Amaranth and tulipwood, in veneer and exquisitely inlaid in "bois de boût"; flowers, foliage and decorative frieze. Writing surface in brown, gold-impressed leather, edged with brass. Front with broad central drawer with 1 drawer on each side. Same but sham arrangement on verso. Exquisitely fine, matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots.
114.5x62x5x79 cm.
