(Antwerp 1549 - ca. 1618 Brussels)
In the style of Albrecht DÜRER (1478-1528). Adam and Eve, 1566.
Copper engraving.
The engraved plate, signed and inscribed: Albert Durer Inventor Johannes Wierx faciebat AE 16; upper right dated: 1566.
24.6 x 19.1 cm.

Predominantly trimmed up to the edge of the plate or with a fine margin around the print. Professionally restored thin areas and small holes, for example on the left upper thigh of Eve. Some browning, for example on the top of the tree trunk. An attractive engraving despite the above-stated defects.
