COPPER-PLATE ENGRAVING.
China, Qianlong period, published in 1789/90, 50x87 cm.
Plate 1 of a set of 12 copper-plate engravings with detailed scenes depicting the Qianlong Emperor's successful military campaign against Formosa in 1787-88. The inscriptions represent poems composed and written by the Qianlong Emperor and were added to the copper-plate engraving from wood blocks. Framed under glass.
The same engraving is in the collection of the British Museum.

圖中描繪了乾隆皇帝在1787-88年平定台灣得勝的場景。版畫圖空白處附乾隆皇帝御筆題詞，由木板套印在銅板畫上，玻璃框裝裱。
同版印製的版畫被大英博物館收藏。
