SILVER NAUTILUS CUP,

probably Netherlands 2nd half of the 17th century. The rim mount marked.
The nautilus shell with carving in low relief and engraving of insects heightened in black ink, the execution of which probably attributed to the Bellekien family of artists (also known as Belquien and Belkien, active in the 2nd half of the 17th century). The rim mount marked and likewise to be assigned to the 17th century. The c-scroll side brackets, stem and base of a later date. The nautilus shell with repaired area.
H ca. 30 cm.
