Louis XV, France, ca. 1750. The dial with retailer's signature: HOUDEMENT BAQUEVILLE.
Curved case, painted with flowers and symbols of love, on a green ground. Bronze mounts designed as leaves, scrolls and a mask. Treize-pièce enamel dial. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Paintwork, later.
