BOULLE CLOCK ON BASE,

Regence, Paris, ca. 1720/30. The dial and movement signed GILBERT À PARIS.
Curved, wooden case with Contre-Boulle marquetry in tinted horn, mother of pearl, and brass, designed as tendrils and flowers. Opulent bronze mounts, designed as rocailles, leaves, latticework, and birds, the top featuring an angel. Dial with white enamel cartouches. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell.
