Italy, probably 16th century.
Wood and stucco, decorated in relief with medusa head, busts, ruins, chariots, etc. Richly engraved and polychrome painted with scrolled leaves and ornamental friezes, as well as gilt and silvered. Various losses, decoration partly incomplete.
