PAINTED CHEST,
Renaissance, Italy, probably Tuscany, 16th century.
Wood and stucco, painted and parcel-gilt. Rectangular body with hinged cover, the front and sides, paneled and painted with arabesques and with applied "Fleur de lys", stars and rosettes. The inside of the cover, painted with reserves and fillets in green and red. Losses, requires restoration. The lock removed.
