The painting offered here is based on the composition by Marcantonio Bassetti in the Royal Collection (inv. no. RL 4846, oil on paper, 42.3 x 27.4 cm) and was probably made in Bassetti's workshop.
Oil on paper on canvas. Several craquelures and older touch-ups visible. Colour abrasion along the edges.
Under UV: touch-ups along the edges. Some touch-ups and retouched craquelures on the architecture and in the foreground. Varnish appears in fluorescent green.
