BOULLE PENDULE ON PLINTH,

Régence/Louis XV, Paris ca. 1745. The dial and movement signed Le Lievre à Paris (Le Lièvre was active until 1784).
Curved case with applied brown-dyed tortoiseshell, inlaid with engraved brass tendrils and flower garlands. Gilt bronze decoration in the form of leaves, shells, dragon heads. The top featuring Jupiter as a putto with an eagle. Bronze dial with white enamel cartouches. Movement with anchor escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Bronzes with C couronné. 1 key.
39 x 20 x 105 cm.
