DANCING HARLEQUIN WITH JUG

Meissen, ca. 1740. The model by Johann Joachim Kändler from 1738, the decoration 19th century.
On a gilt bronze mount, dated from the 19th century, in the Louis XV style. From a series of harlequins, here represented as holding a jug in his left hand, monogrammed "E. H. G." in gold, and holding his hat in his right hand. No mark.
H 16.3 cm (18 cm).

Restored.
