LARGE TAPESTRY "Allegory of Spring",

Brussels, probably after designs by Lodwijk van Schoor, beginning of the 18th century.
Wool and silk. Depiction of Flora with her entourage in a palace architecture with a view into a park with celebrating peasants. Leaf border. Restorations with the label "DE WIT Royal Manufacturers Belgium 2014" sewn on.
Ca. 311 x 459 cm.

A similiar - albeit smaller - tapestry was sold at Christie's New York, Auction 19 October 2011, Lot No. 217.
