Signed upper right on the door: JO (ligature) lies. fec.
42.3 × 70.7 cm.

The present painting is registered in the RKD, The Hague, as a work by the hand of Jan Olis.

Oil on panel, consisting of two horizontal plates. Verso with a horizontal wood support. The joint is visible on the paint surface. Partly with visible old touch-ups. Colour abrasion along the edges.
Under UV: touch-ups along the edges as well as along the joint. Further smaller touch-ups in the background, on the figures and in the foreground. Varnish appears in fluorescent green.
