This large-sized drawing is a direct preparatory drawing for the painting "Nature morte du pavillon de l'Esprit Nouveau". Le Corbusier usually kept such drawings in smaller formats and transferred them to the painting in larger formats later. In its size, this sheet is therefore a rarity, as the representation already corresponds to the size of the oil painting.
