Piguet & Bachmann, extremely rare Grand Complication in exceptional condition, ca. 1880.

Timepiece of the highest quality, both technically and aesthetically. The Piguet & Bachmann company won medals at many world exhibitions and was known for its complicated pocket watches. They were awarded the 1st prize at multiple chronometer competitions.
Case No: 12387. Heavy, smooth savonnette case with monogram on the sprung cover. The dust cover engraved, inter alia: Fritz Piguet & Bachmann Genève, L. Bachmann Succr. The bezel with setting levers for calendar, Grand- and Petit-Sonnerie, Sonnerie and Silence.
Dial: Fine enamel dial with perpetual calendar: date, day, month, leap year and moon phase, chronograph.
Movement: Ultra-fine chronometer quality lever movement No: 12387: compensation balance, palladium Breguet hairspring. Grand Sonnerie striking mechanism with minute repeater and chronograph.
