BURGONET HELMET
German or Austrian ca. 1570/80.
Blackened iron. One-part skull with ribbed peak, both sides decorated with an ornamental band. Movable eye guard with chased, blank edge, riveted neck guard and cheekpieces likewise with a chased edge. Cheekpieces, each with five punctiform perforations. Eye shield and neck shield with ribbed borders.
H 27 cm. C: 1-2.
