A FINE COPPER ALLOY FIGURE OF DAKINI VETALI.

Tibet, 17th c. Height 19.5 cm.
She belongs to a group of 15 dakinis of the Hevajra mandala. Slightly lopsided.

Provenance: Swiss private collection, acquired mid 1980s with U. von Schroeder, thence by descent.
A dakini of the same series is published in: Helmut Uhlig, Tantrische Kunst des Buddhismus, 1981, no. 98.
