RARE PENDANT WATCH

Southern Germany, probably by Hans Christoph Kreizer, Augsburg ca. 1630.
Pierced, engraved and gilt brass, and cut glass. Oval-shaped, the sides decorated with facetted glass elements, in brass mounts decorated with scrolled leaves and buds. The front and the back open up, and are decorated with glass elements. The rear cover is likewise decorated with facetted glass elements. Silvered dial with hours in Roman numerals, enameled with a Phoenix and foliage (with losses). Fine movement with verge escapement, and striking the hour on a bell arranged in the rear cover. Iron cut-outs designed as tendrils. Barrels engraved with foliage. Suspension eyelet.
H 8.5 cm.

The movement requires revision / adjustment. Glass elements in part scratched.
